Man Arrested After Trying to Crash SUV into Vehicle Occupied by a Child
LURAY, Va. — A Stanley man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to crash into another vehicle on Tuesday.
According to a media release from LPD, the incident occurred April 22, 2025.
At approximately 4:40 p.m., Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies and LPD officers were dispatched the East Luray Shopping Center for reports of a domestic disturbance involving two vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject in a white SUV following and attempting to crash into a vehicle occupied by two women and a juvenile.
The suspect, later identified as Jesse Weakley, Jr., 51, has been charged with the following:
1 count – Felony Child Endangerment (18.2-371.1)
3 counts – Felony Abduction (18.2-47)
1 count – Felony Destruction of Property (18.2-137)
6 counts – Attempted Malicious Wounding (18.2-26/18.2-51)
1 count – Reckless Driving (46.2-852)
No injuries were reported.
